Recently, the container ship "Dexiang Bangkok" carrying 2,300 tons of cargo completed loading and unloading operations under the supervision of Tianjin Customs and sailed to the Philippines, one of the RCEP member countries. This marks the official opening of the direct shipping route to the Philippines added by Tianjin Port. The opening of the new route has broadened the sea channel connecting the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei hinterland and the RCEP cooperation area, adding a sea channel for "Made in China".
It is understood that the route is the first foreign trade route independently operated by Dexiang Shipping Company in Tianjin Port, and plans to put in 5 1800TEU container ships, starting from Tianjin Port, operating stably in the mode of "once a week", focusing on "point-to-point" direct shipping services with Manila Port in the Philippines, while radiating to Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia and other regions and countries.
"The newly opened direct shipping route, transporting commodities covering steel, furniture, chemicals, etc., shortens the voyage by 5-6 days compared with the previous transshipment transportation route, and provides a stronger timeliness guarantee for import and export enterprises." Yu Yue, a staff member of Tianjin Waidai International Freight Co., Ltd., who is responsible for acting for the operation of the route at Tianjin Port, introduced.
Since RCEP came into effect, the rapid growth of trade between Tianjin Port and RCEP member countries has also put forward more efficient and convenient requirements for logistics and transportation. Up to now, Tianjin Port has opened more than 40 RCEP shipping routes, covering a large area of RCEP areas, providing strong backing for enterprises to deepen their cultivation of the RCEP market.
In order to better serve the new routes, Tianjin Customs took the initiative to connect with port departments, shipping companies and agency enterprises, carry out a wider range of policy publicity, and accelerate the release of RCEP tariff policies and the dividends of customs paperless customs clearance reform. At the same time, it solicits enterprises' service needs for customs, and "one enterprise, one case" helps enterprises standardize the declaration process of ships operating on new routes, and clarifies the declaration route, declaration time limit, data filling and other requirements. Open up a "green channel" for terminal operations, complete the ship's health and quarantine work in the first time in the operation mode of "people waiting for ships", review the application for lifting and unloading of dirty oil and water and material supply of the ship on the first voyage online, embed the above operation links into the process of loading and unloading cargo on the ship, and compress the customs clearance time of the ship.
"In the process of enterprise declaration and operation, we provide 7×24-hour appointment declaration, shipside pick-up, arrival direct loading and other convenient customs clearance measures to meet the needs of enterprises for fast customs clearance. At the same time, we have increased the use of scientific and technological means in on-site supervision, and created a more efficient and convenient customs clearance environment through digital supervision, intelligent map review, and non-inductive customs clearance. Chen Jinyi, head of the supervision section of the Tianjin Customs Port Supervision Department, introduced.
